Application for participating and voting Membership is open to any*
homeschooling family in Collin County and surrounding areas that supports the
purpose and mission statements found in Article I, Sections 2 and 3 of the By-laws.
* Exceptions: While
SAIL strives to be an inclusive group, there are rare situations that would
require the Board to decline a family's application. Due to potential safety
concerns, it is our policy to deny, restrict, or revoke a family's membership
in SAIL if we find out that an immediate family member is listed on the Sex

cash, please) to a Monthly Gathering Park Day:
* Summer (May - September): 10:30 - 11:30 am
* Fall/Winter (October - April): 1:30 -2:30 pm

We meet at The Ball Fields at
Gabe Nesbitt Community Park (7001 W Eldorado Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75070).
If you're on Eldorado, you'll turn south at the light at Hillsdale Dr. You'll be able to see The Ball Fields straight ahead.
The park has a covered picnic area for the moms and covered play structure
for the kids. There is a large concrete area that is great for riding bikes
or scooters. Bathrooms are available during all seasons except winter. This
park can be very windy so packing an extra layer even when you don't think
you'll need it is not a bad idea.
When you turn in your paperwork, you will be given a
short orientation and a packet with information about the group. After your
orientation, you are welcome to stay as long as you like to get to know the
other moms and kids.
To ensure that our Membership Team Leader has enough
New Member Packets for all the new families joining, please send a brief
email to Membership@SAILhomeschoolers.org
letting her know you are planning to attend Monthly Gathering. If you include
a phone number in your email, she will contact you if there are any changes
to the time, date or location of the meeting.
In case of inclement weather, we may meet at the McDonald's at 3200 Eldorado in McKinney. If you are
concerned about the weather, please call 972-540-6610 the day before Monthly
Gathering to find out if we are meeting at the regular location or the backup
The last step of your application process is joining the SAIL members-only website.
There you will have access to our calendar, forums and other information
about SAIL. Your membership is not complete until you request admission to
and are approved to join the site. Information on how to join the site will
be given to you as part of your orientation.
Every August, all members except those who joined in June and July of that same year
will need to renew their membership. To renew, members will update their
information on our members-only website and pay their annual dues of $25.
Dues can be paid online, by mail or in person at a designated renewal event.
More information about how to renew will be sent to all members the last week of July.
